Re-Inventing a Good and Blessed Future for Our Children

By Esther Davis-Thompson

MotherLove (Cont.)

Some of us don’t know what to do.

Some of us are caught up in a cloud of anger.

Some of us are engaged in thoughtless doing.

Some of us are crouching behind our fears.

Some of us think our children are safe because we have good jobs.

Some of us think we are doing well because we live in nice houses.

Some of us think we’re doing bad because we’re on welfare.

Some of us are waiting... to win the lottery.

Some of us have become trained life-fighters.

Some of us are so tired from all the battles we’ve been engaged in that we simply don’t have any emotion left to invest in our children.

Some of us woke up this morning and realized we didn’t know what was going on.

Some of us are still lying to ourselves.

It is time for us to sit down and think about our lives and our families and where we’ve been and where we - and our children - are (involuntarily or voluntarily) headed. We can then identify our need for Help in specific areas of our life. We must now start knowing that Help is as close as the Spirit of Life inside us.
