The Most Important Role I’ll Ever Have Is…
To Be My Child’s Dad!
Crime
Violent criminals are overwhelmingly males who grew up without fathers. Various studies have found that up to 60 percent of rapists, 75 percent of adolescents charged with murder, and 70 percent of long-term prison inmates grew up in fatherless homes. In fact, the chief predictor of crime in a community is the percentage of father absent households.
“Football was my gift from God. The talent he gave me to push to the limit. But my essence revolves around being the kind of husband and father I want to be.”

Sex
Girls who live in single parent families are more likely to begin sexual activity at a younger age and are more likely to have a child out-of-wedlock as a teenager, compared to girls living with their two married parents.
“I know heroes when I see them. Everywhere I go I see men – young and old – on city stoops and suburban backyards. They are playing basketball with their kids, coaching or cheering from the sidelines, or just “hanging out” with their teenagers. These men are American heroes. They are good fathers.”

Fathers Change The World One Child At A Time!
The National Fatherhood Initiative is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-sectarian national civic organization founded in 1994 to stimulate a society-wide movement to confront the growing problem of father absence, and is dedicated to improving the well-being of children by increasing the number of children growing up with involved, committed, and responsible fathers.
