The RoMANtic Column
Love Is Only a Page Away
By Michael Webb
Most likely, a large percentage of the readers of this column carry a pager. I carried one for several years. It certainly can be a nuisance at times. However, it can also be one more way to let someone know you are thinking of them.
Recently, alphanumeric pagers have been becoming increasingly popular. You can simply type in a message and the pager will automatically display it. On the other hand, numbers only pagers require a little more creativity in sending over "love messages."
As you probably know, numbers look like certain letters when held upside down. One of the better-known words is 07734 (hello).
You can also type in 143, 1 for letter I, 4 to signify the number of letters in LOVE and 3 for the letters in YOU.
Here are a few others for you to try out on your sweetheart.
5376616(giggles)
53551,5604(hogs & isses)- hugs & kisses
372215(sizzle)
55178(bliss)
14(hi)
5637(legs)
55378(bless)
