52 Dates For You & Your Mate

Honeymoon Memory Date
We found ourselves back in the same town at approximately the same time of year as when we were there on our wedding night thirty years ago. When we were not at the hospital, we were working on this book. So naturally, we began to talk about our honeymoon. As we talked, we realized that the motel where we were staying was located at about the same place where our honeymoon motel had been.
At breakfast that morning, over who knows how many cups of coffee, we reminisced and realized how far we had come in thirty years of marriage. In some small way, we did go back in history. You can do the same. Here are some tips.
Create Your Own Honeymoon:
- Have a Memory Date to talk once again about your honeymoon. See how far you have come in the months, years, and maybe even decades since your wedding night.
- Actually go back and recreate (or improve on) your honeymoon.
- Plan a completely new and updated honeymoon. We like this suggestion and have decided we would rather go to Austria than Gainesville, Georgia!
- Be thankful for all you’ve learned in you marriage and for all the ways you’ve grown closer to each other.
