Changing Your Boyfriend's Bad Mood Into A Good One

You are waiting for you boyfriend to meet you for dinner but he is a bit late. When he finally arrives, the look on his face is enough. You can obviously tell that he has had a terrible day and does NOT want to talk about it. How can you possibly get him to open up to you so you can relieve some of the apparent tension? Depending on your guy there are several routes to take. Why not take him out for a game of pool immediately after dinner? He enjoys it and he will probably loosen up and tell you about his day mid-game.

Another good idea is to ask more open-ended questions, not "what's wrong?" Asking questions like that almost guarantees that he will clam up or try and change the subject. If these ideas do not work then go for the default; make him laugh! There is almost no better way to relieve tension than laughter. Your guy will be flattered to know that you care about what is going on in his life. If he does not feel like talking at first, give him time to breathe and do not give up. He enjoys spending time and talking with you. That is why he dates you, so give him time to open up!
