Lois Leiderman Davitz, Ph.D. Joel R. Davitz, Ph.D. authors of 28 books and over a 100 articles concerned with marriage, divorce, and family relationships. Their two most recent books are: Fun? But we're married! (Sorin press) and Getting Along /Almost? with your adult kids. (Sorin Press)

The Davitz's, married for 59 years, have conducted research re marriage, divorce, child-parent relationships for the past five decades. Their studies have also included extensive comparative studies in Japan, Africa, South America.

Joel was formerly Chairman of the Clinical Psychology Department at Teachers College, Columbia University and Lois was a psychological researcher and faculty member also at Teachers College, Columbia University. They are currently emerti.

The Davitz's have received numerous awards for their work. They are strongly committed to encouraging as much as possible, strong family relationships and marital accord. Their objective is to encourage and to develop undertsanding between husband and wife and children of all ages.
